Manages parts operations within BLE to maximize return on investment through optimizing Parts Department processes, growing profitable parts sales, exercising disciplined expense control, attracting and retaining outstanding talent and effectively engaging department

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for expediting and purchase order follow up.       
  • Resolves billing and shipping problems and provide information to suppliers.
  • Responsible for the procurement of materials, components, supplies & equipment at favorable cost consistent with schedule and specifications.
  • Liaise with various department managers to anticipate demand for goods and materials.
  • Responsible for overseeing annual physical inventories of all parts and related equipment.
  • Assess critical inventory lists, establish optimal inventory levels, and integrate anticipated demands by replenishing inventory in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate terms for major purchases within established limits of authority.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives superior standards of service.
  • Evaluate supplier bids, quotes, tenders, and proposals of all equipment, parts, and tools for assigned BLE location.
  • Respond to escalated inquiries; review and authorize purchasing recommendation of others.
  • Develops and maintains effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years parts management required
  • Working knowledge Quality concepts, practices and procedures required

  • Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines         
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)         
  • Excellent customer service skills       
  • Works well under moderate supervision
