Job description

Strider Technologies delivers strategic intelligence that helps organizations make faster, more confident decisions in an increasingly complex global environment. Using cutting-edge AI and proprietary methodologies, we transform open-source data into actionable insights that help protect technology, talent, and supply chains from nation-state risks.

Summary

The Platform Intelligence team at Strider drives intelligence production through the collection, refinement, and application of publicly available data for risk analysis and mitigation. As a foundational part of Strider’s intelligence cycle, the team builds and maintains core intelligence capabilities through automated data pipelines, enrichment engines, risk methodologies, and AI-enabled workflows.

The team develops intelligence products and capabilities that help answer complex questions related to the economic statecraft of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Russia, Iran, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). We acquire and evaluate new data, develop risk methodologies, assess AI-generated intelligence outputs, and design and prototype new data capabilities in close partnership with Engineering and Product.

As a Data Intelligence Analyst II, you will collect, analyze, enrich, and integrate data to help Strider’s clients understand economic statecraft risks to their organizations. With a primary focus on the PRC, you will apply Chinese-language expertise, Strider’s intelligence methodology and tradecraft standards, structured analytic techniques, and AI-enabled tools to produce and improve intelligence at scale.

At this level, you will independently execute established analytical workflows, exercise judgment when approaching new or ambiguous problems, and identify opportunities to improve Strider’s data, methodologies, and intelligence capabilities. You will also develop deeper expertise in Strider’s data and technology and begin sharing that knowledge with teammates. Your work will contribute directly to intelligence products and capabilities used by companies, research institutions, and government agencies.

Key Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international affairs, data science, computer science, intelligence studies, Chinese language, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in intelligence analysis, quality assurance, data evaluation, or a related analytical field. Relevant coursework, internships, or service experience may substitute for direct professional experience.
  • Chinese-language proficiency sufficient to independently research, evaluate, and interpret Chinese-language sources for intelligence analysis.
  • Working knowledge of PRC economic statecraft, including relevant tactics, techniques, and procedures and their implications for intelligence analysis and data accuracy.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools, including AI-native development environments, agentic tools, or large language model interfaces, to support analytical or technical workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience applying structured analytic techniques, such as Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH) and key assumptions checks, to evaluate information and analytical conclusions.
  • Ability to independently evaluate detailed information using established methodologies while exercising judgment when requirements or available information are ambiguous.
  • Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to document analytical findings for technical and non-technical audiences and produce work requiring limited substantive review.
  • Intellectually ambitious, unafraid of ambiguity, and a desire to collaborate on something meaningful.
Description

In this role, you will take increasing ownership of analytical work from initial research and data evaluation through intelligence production and product improvement. You will operate independently within established frameworks while identifying opportunities to improve how Strider collects, evaluates, and applies data.

You will:

  • Identify, evaluate, validate, and integrate Chinese- and English-language data sources to strengthen Strider’s products, improve data utilization, and enhance risk detection.
  • Apply Chinese-language expertise and working knowledge of PRC economic statecraft to identify and evaluate relevant actors, relationships, activities, and risk indicators.
  • Develop deep working knowledge of Strider’s data holdings, ontology, risk methodology, and AI agent architecture and share that knowledge with teammates as your expertise grows.
  • Apply and build upon Strider’s intelligence production standards to develop accurate, well-supported risk intelligence that provides actionable insights for clients.
  • Evaluate AI-generated intelligence outputs for accuracy, completeness, relevance, and adherence to established methodologies and analytical standards.
  • Develop and use AI-enabled tools and workflows to support research, data enrichment, intelligence production, and analytical quality.
  • Apply structured analytic techniques to test assumptions, evaluate competing explanations, and strengthen both analyst- and AI-generated intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data sources, analytical methods, intelligence workflows, and product performance, and independently develop or prototype solutions within the scope of the role.
  • Partner with Intelligence, Engineering, and Product teams to drive automation, advance product development, and build scalable intelligence capabilities.
  • Support the broader needs of Strider’s Intelligence organization while sharing knowledge and analytical approaches that strengthen the capabilities of the team.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation
  • Flexible PTO
  • Wellness Reimbursement
  • US Holidays (Office Closed)
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Plan
