As a member of the Supply Demand Management (SDM) team, you will join a highly influential group within Apple, challenged to scale at the pace of the company’s overall growth. You will develop, communicate, and execute end-to-end product demand and supply plans across all channels of distribution in over 80 countries for a current or future product line. Product line assignments will be made at the time of hire in any of Apple’s multibillion-dollar businesses, including Mac, Watch, iPad, iPhone, Vision Pro, and Accessories.
Description
The AMR Operations Supply Demand Planner should be a driven, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and articulate problem solver who can multi-task under dynamic timelines to meet business deliverables and objectives, delivering timely solutions. Collaboration with multiple groups incl: AMR Operations cross-functional organizations, incl: Supply Demand Management/Execution, Reseller Operations, Logistics, Retail, AOS, Business Process Re-Engineering, Corporate Compliance, Product Ops, Product Marketing, Sales, Legal and others that are critical to build and deliver solutions to meet the needs of evolving business opportunities.
As a member of the team, you will:
Own and manage procurement, supply/demand forecast, and movement of product valued in $B’s across all hardware product lines servicing all sales channels (Retail, E-commerce, Reseller, Education) for multiple countries/geographies.
Develop complex statistical/forecast models (utilizing price elasticity, seasonality, cannibalization, etc.) to drive critical business decisions and insights.
Present, defend, and influence product line business plans to senior executive leadership both internal/external to Apple and cross-functional stakeholders on a weekly basis.
Influence and triangulate cross-functional alignment within a matrixed organization
Evaluate supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to mitigate consumer impact, including ad-hoc problem solving during unprecedented events.
Drive, influence, and develop long-term strategic initiatives that shape the future of Apple’s supply chain and omnichannel roadmap.
Plan, drive, and execute New Product Introduction operational activities, ensuring world-class customer experience across all of Apple’s routes to market.
Identify process improvement opportunities (tools, workstreams, systems) and drive solutions from conception through implementation.
Responsible for supply allocation and distribution of hundreds of millions of units between channels and reseller partners to maximize financial results and customer experience.
Influence and manage operations across 50 global OEMs lifting out of 10+ origin locations.
Drive innovation opportunities within our supply chain aimed towards achieving Apple’s Sustainability and eco-friendly goals of Carbon Neutrality throughout our supply chain by 2030.
Preferred Qualifications
Consistent record of leading diverse & complex projects, combined with the ability to execute tactical activities & tasks
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational and collaboration abilities
Confidence in managing and navigating ambiguity successfully
Demonstrated ability in business process re-engineering with an acute attention to detail and continuous innovation
Excellent forward thinking capabilities, able to see beyond the current state, proactively identifying risks/opportunities
Proven experience working optimally in a matrixed and global organization
Proficiency in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software development, enhancing problem-solving capabilities and project efficiency a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ year’s experience leading execution in the areas of operations, supply chain, data management, program and/or project management
Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant field required.
