JOB PURPOSE
The Packaging Planner Intern position is responsible for the packaging ordering execution within the supply chain. This includes demand forecasting, material ordering, engagement with the supply base, problem solving, and process improvement. The position liaises with both internal and external customers and suppliers, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills. Candidates should also have an understanding of supply chain concepts and processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management of supply chain for key packaging items from the supplier to the customer.
  • Utilize SAP to run Material Requirements Planning to ensure material availability for customer demand and to maintain a plan for every part.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects including packaging inventory and cost optimization efforts.
  • Create packaging standards and guidelines in support of reducing damage through shipment and enabling the receiving process
  • Support critical business metrics such as: Customer Fill Rate, Supplier Fill Rate.
  • Manage sales forecasts for each SKU and work closely with the SC&L Team to ensure proper material planning.
  • Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Packaging student.
  • Business Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Packaging or related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
