At Delta Electronics Manufacturing Corp., the Southwestern Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in driving growth, strengthening relationships, and representing Delta’s brand and technical capabilities to customers and partners across the assigned territories. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on customer engagement to support the company’s mission and revenue objectives.


The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for four key outcomes:

  1. Building and strengthening internal and external customer relationships
  2. Contributing to a dynamic, productive, and collaborative company culture
  3. Communicating proactively with Delta’s leadership team
  4. Increasing revenue and profitability within the assigned region

Key Responsibilities:


1. Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as a responsive and proactive point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Foster collaboration between Delta’s engineering, quality, and customer service teams and external customers
  • Develop strategic relationships at all organizational levels within key accounts
  • Engage and align Manufacturers’ Representatives (MRs) and customers with Delta leadership, promoting the Delta Difference: Delta Difference Video
  • Travel regularly within assigned territories to meet customers in person and create new revenue opportunities

2. Company Culture and Internal Collaboration

  • Attend quarterly (or as-needed) meetings at Delta’s headquarters in Beverly, MA to support customer visits, audits, and new business opportunities
  • Actively participate in company sales meetings, training sessions, forecast planning, and strategy discussions
  • Contribute ideas to enhance productivity, improve processes, and drive innovation

3. Communication and Reporting

  • Provide weekly opportunity updates in Delta’s designated CRM or reporting tools including Microsoft Teams.
  • Document and share detailed visit reports, action items, and notable interactions in designated opportunity data base
  • Proactively communicate both successes and challenges to the Director of Sales and Marketing—particularly related to quality, delivery, pricing, or market trends impacting sales success

4. Revenue Growth and Sales Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy focused on profitable growth
  • Set and monitor booking goals for each MR firm, tracking opportunity pipelines with accurate 12-month revenue projections
  • Focus on opportunity development through Delta’s vertical integration, technical expertise, and AS9100-certified quality system
  • Educate MR teams and customers on Delta’s core competencies: RF and millimeter wave (MMW) interconnect solutions
  • Support and align with Delta’s distributor partners, working closely with the Distribution Sales Manager

Territory Covered:

Southwestern Territory: Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas

  • Note: Regional assignments may evolve based on market dynamics and company objectives.


Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the electronics industry, with a focus on sales or marketing ((RF/Microwave or MMW interconnect experience highly preferred)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven success in managing and developing business relationships across customers, distributors, OEMs, and subcontractors
  • Experience prospecting and developing new business in key sectors: military, aerospace, communications, broadcast/audio, test & measurement, and semiconductors
  • Strong aptitude for technical sales and building strategic partnerships
