The Construction Manager oversees all aspects of managing construction projects to ensure each project reaches its completion and turnover. The incumbent will focus on the daily management of personnel, project readiness, pre-planning, mobilization, execution, project feasibility, constructability phases, and must ensure quality and cost standards are met within assigned timeframes.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Project Oversight & Execution
    • Manage all construction projects within the Alaska region from award through closeout, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to specification
    • Maintain ultimate accountability for project quality, safety, and profitability across multiple simultaneous job sites
    • Review and approve project schedules, budgets, subcontractor scopes, and change orders as applicable
  • Field Operations Leadership
    • Direct project managers, superintendents, and field crews; serve as the primary escalation point for field-level issues
    • Conduct quarterly site visits to project locations to assess progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with plans and safety standards
    • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material resources across the region to meet project demands
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations
    • Serve as a senior Delta Constructors representative for client relationships with your peers in owner-groups within Alaska
    • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and dispute resolution with clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies
    • Support business development efforts including pre-bid site walks and relationship management with repeat clients
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce Delta Constructors' safety programs and ensure all sites meet Delta, OSHA, state, and client-specific safety requirements
    • Champion a strong safety culture and hold field leadership accountable for incident prevention
    • Ensure all work complies with applicable Alaska state and local regulations, permits, and environmental requirements
  • Financial Management
    • Monitor job cost reports and schedule and drive corrective action when projects deviate from baseline targets
    • Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor pay applications as required for your approval authority
    • Contribute to annual budgeting and regional revenue forecasting
  • Business Development & Estimating Support
    • Communicate new project opportunities in the Alaska market for potential pursuit
    • Collaborate with the estimating team on bid reviews, risk assessment, and go/no-go decisions for regional pursuits
    • Leverage knowledge of local market conditions, subcontractor availability, and logistics constraints in proposals
  • Talent & Team Development
    • Recruit, develop, and retain regional field and project management personnel
    • Conduct performance evaluations and mentor emerging project managers and superintendents

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, or relevant construction or project management, business administration or engineering degree is desired
  • Ten (10) years' experience with Construction Management
  • Current and valid Driver License
  • North Slope Training Certification "NSTC" required
