Job Summary:

We are looking for a capable Delivery Driver/ Store Associate to support a Start-up retail store in the silicon valley. This position requires an individual to have excellent customer service skills, make prompt deliveries to customers in a courteous manner and perform general warehouse/store duties. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load companies Cargo vehicle accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
  • Stock pick-ups from distributors and obey traffic laws and safety procedures.
  • Process, package, and ship orders accurately.
  • Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages.
  • Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
  • Organize store space.
  • Provide assistance at counter if needed.
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items on shelves and warehouse.
  • Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize store procedures.
  • Keep store clean and organized daily.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
  • Delivers orders to meet customer requirements while complying with Buhaya Care Company's driving agreement.
  • Prepares orders as required to meet daily delivery requirements including staging orders and keeping accurate logs.
  • Handles payment transactions, cash and charge verifications following company protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles including vans and flatbed trucks.
  • Be able to pass a drug test.
  • Successful completion of the company driver's safety and defensive driving courses as required.
  • English language skills, including a level of reading comprehension, and written and oral language conventions ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience of delivering products to customers preferred.
