Job description

We are looking for a CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team!


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Drives dual axle tractor and 48 foot trailers over established route to deliver products or Class B rated delivery trucks

· Checks in with receiver and unloads products in all PCVA accounts and within customer standards

· Obtain proof of delivery that meet requirements in order to ensure accurate settlement of all invoices at the end of the day

· Establish a full working knowledge of brands and packaging for every account

· Complete all scheduled deliveries by the end of the shift according to PCVA and customer standards

· Completes several daily computer functions to include checkout, sales, reloads, offloads, load requests, ending inventory and settlements

· Attends mandatory driver trainings

· Conducts pre and post trip inspections on the delivery vehicle according to DOT requirements and promptly reports problems to the Fleet department

· Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with primary contact at each account

· Communicates issues to appropriate store personnel and management

· Follows all PCVA, DOT and FMCSA standards and regulations

· Other duties as assigned


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and a good driving record.
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must submit to a drug screen
  • Pass the background check

· Previous sales and money handling experience is preferred

· Must be a team player and self-starter with excellent follow up skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction

· Must have a positive, friendly attitude and be detail oriented

· Must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a Class A CDL card if not currently held

· Must be comfortable driving a delivery vehicle weighing up to 26,000+ and 48ft in length

· Able to work at a fast pace for up to 8 to 12 hours

· With proper training and equipment, safely and regularly maneuver up to 100 pounds
