Join Our Team: Delivery Driver at Downtown Ace Hardware

Are you a reliable and customer-focused individual with a knack for hands-on tasks? Downtown Ace Hardware is looking for a responsible and professional Delivery Driver to ensure prompt and satisfactory deliveries to our customers. After completing daily deliveries, you'll assist with assembling patio furniture, grills, and more.

While our preference is to hire long-term team members, we recognize that some strong candidates may be available for the summer season only. Preference will be given to someone that is available to start immediately and work through the summer at a minimum. If you bring reliability, initiative, and strong availability during our busiest months, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do:
  • Deliver a variety of products to different addresses and routes.
  • Ensure merchandise is carefully loaded, secured, and unloaded safely at the destination.
  • Contact customers upon arrival (or follow contactless delivery procedures) and place items in their designated location.
  • Collaborate effectively with Patio Sales Associates, Builders, and Managers.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports.
  • Assist in unloading deliveries to the store from a variety of freight companies.
What We're Looking For:
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record (minimum of 3 years with a license for insurance purposes).
  • Confidence driving a medium-sized box truck safely.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver large items (e.g., grills, patio furniture) with a partner.
  • Comfort using navigation systems and following assembly instructions accurately.
  • You are dependable and take your schedule seriously, understanding that your team relies on you.
  • You move with urgency and maintain strong momentum throughout the day.
  • You support teammates and contribute to a strong team culture
  • You complete tasks fully and follow through.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable climbing ladders
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as needed in all weather conditions.
What We Offer:
  • Pay: $16-$18/hour (depending on experience)
  • Benefits: A comprehensive package including paid time off.
  • Flexibility: Enjoy a flexible work schedule.
  • Be part of a close-knit, family-run business serving Fort Collins since 1990.

If you're seeking a full-time role where you can deliver smiles (and some great patio furniture), we'd love to hear from you!

We are your local hardware store and we are a part of your community.
