Job description

Position: Propane Delivery Driver Location: Lantana, Florida

What you’ll be working on…  

  • You will be operating truck and delivery equipment safely to deliver propane gas. 

  • You will perform pre trip and post trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment.

  • You will document findings of inspections and ensure appropriate action is taken in regards to any exceptions.

  • You will prepare and maintain all appropriate documentation required of drivers by the Department of Transportation.

  • You will observe all traffic rules and practice defensive driving techniques.

  • You will observe all company, industry, and regulatory guidelines regarding the safe operation of equipment and the delivery of propane gas.

  • You will record deliveries, meter readings and tank percentages accurately.

  • You will check credit status of customers prior to making deliveries when on call

  • You will collect payments from customers and disconnect gas service as directed.

  • You will be sensitive to customers' situations and provide helpful assistance to resolve problems.

  • You will perform other related duties as assigned.

  • You possess an active CDL class B. 

  • You possess a Hazmat endorsement.
  • You have a keen sense of smell. 
  • You love working with customers and have great communication skills. 
  • You are able to maintain truck in a safe and clean manner

  • You are comfortable with the below hazards and working conditions: 
    • HAZARDS: Exposure to various substances which could be hazardous if handled improperly.

    • WORKING CONDITIONS: Assigned tasks are normally performed in field surroundings with exposure to all types of weather conditions.
