Delivery Driver

1. POSITION SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to clients on a designated route. This position verifies daily manifest, loads and unloads trucks accordingly, and makes its stops efficiently. The Delivery Driver serves as a public representative of the company's brand and is responsible for providing excellent customer service and professionalism at all times.

This vacancy is for the company's downtown Baltimore route, which includes navigating and driving throughout a downtown environment for the duration of each shift.

Qualifications

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education, Certifications, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

  • Experience driving in downtown Baltimore
  • 3 years' experience in an outside route-based, client-facing role preferred
  • 1 year's experience driving a box truck preferred
  • Experience in wholesale workspace furniture industry a plus

Knowledge/Skills:

Positions Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to navigate and drive throughout downtown environments
  • Knowledge of driving in a commercial environment, including procedures and vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to drive assigned routes, staying on schedule, processing deliveries, and managing drive times effectively
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned, including irregular hours or extended shifts as needed
  • Ability to work fully in person
  • Knowledge of safe use of tools and equipment
  • Proficiency with basic computer software and math skills
  • Ability to exchange information with others and understand and follow directions
