They typically drive a delivery vehicle, follow assigned routes, and ensure timely and accurate deliveries. In addition to delivering items, Delivery Associates may also handle package scanning, customer interactions, and maintaining delivery records. Their role is essential in the supply chain, particularly for e-commerce and retail companies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a delivery associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Delivery Associate, you need a valid driver’s license, strong navigation skills, and basic physical fitness to handle packages. Familiarity with GPS devices, delivery management apps, and handheld scanners is typically required. Reliability, excellent time management, and strong customer service skills help you stand out in this role. Job description

About Industrial Supply

For 110 years, Industrial Supply has built its reputation by taking care of customers, supporting its employees, and providing the products and service businesses depend on every day.

As we celebrate our 110th anniversary, we're proud of our history and excited about what comes next. Our success has always depended on dependable people who work together, take care of customers, and take pride in doing the job right.

We're looking for another great team member to join our Gillette, Wyoming branch

Position Summary

Industrial Supply is looking for a dependable, motivated Warehouse & Customer Service Associate to support our Gillette branch.

This is a PART-TIME position with a variety of responsibilities, including receiving and stocking products, picking and packing customer orders, assisting customers at the front counter, and occasionally helping with local deliveries.

If you like staying active, working with a team, helping customers, and having a workday that isn't spent doing the same thing all day, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do
  • Receive incoming products and accurately stock inventory.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders.
  • Help keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
  • Assist customers at the front counter in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Help customers locate products and coordinate with other team members to meet customer needs.
  • Verify products and quantities to maintain order and inventory accuracy.
  • Load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with local customer deliveries when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Support the branch wherever needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.
  • Follow company procedures and safety expectations while demonstrating Industrial Supply's core values.
What We're Looking For
  • Dependable and ready to contribute as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to getting orders right.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and providing great service.
  • Able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn different parts of the branch operation.
  • Strong attendance and a positive team attitude.
Helpful, But Not Required
  • Previous warehouse experience, including receiving, stocking, picking, or packing.
  • Customer service or counter sales experience.
  • Understanding of sales or experience working in a sales environment.
  • Delivery driving experience involving direct customer interaction.
  • Experience in industrial supply, distribution, construction supply, automotive parts, or a similar environment.

Don't have industrial warehouse experience? We still encourage you to apply. If you're dependable, comfortable working with customers, willing to learn, and take pride in accurate work, we'd like to hear from you.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires regular movement throughout the workday. Employees must be able to:

  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Load and unload products and pallets.
  • Bend, reach, lift, and move products throughout a warehouse environment.
  • Safely perform warehouse and material-handling responsibilities throughout the workday.
  • Safely and legally operate a company delivery vehicle when providing delivery assistance.
Join Industrial Supply

For 110 years, our success has come from people who show up, work together, and take care of our customers.

At our Gillette branch, you'll be part of a smaller team where your contribution matters. You'll have the opportunity to learn different parts of the business, work directly with customers, and play an important role in keeping the branch running smoothly.
