Location: Save More Food Market – Minocqua, Wisconsin

Save More Food Market is seeking a dependable Cook to join the Deli Department at our Minocqua location.

This position is responsible for cooking and preparing fresh meals, entrées, side dishes, soups, sandwiches, salads, and other ready-to-eat foods for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Cook and prepare entrées, side dishes, soups, sandwiches, salads, and other prepared foods
  • Follow established recipes, cooking procedures, and portion standards
  • Prepare products for the hot case, cold case, and grab-and-go area
  • Operate ovens, fryers, grills, slicers, and other food-preparation equipment
  • Monitor cooking and holding temperatures to ensure food safety and quality
  • Ensure food meets our standards for taste, appearance, freshness, and consistency
  • Package, label, price, and stock prepared foods
  • Rotate ingredients and finished products using proper date procedures
  • Maintain appropriate production levels while minimizing waste
  • Keep cooking areas, equipment, utensils, coolers, and floors clean and sanitary
  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
  • Assist customers and provide friendly, helpful service
  • Help prepare catering orders, holiday meals, and other special orders when needed
Qualifications
  • Previous cooking, restaurant, deli, catering, or food-service experience is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cooking methods and safe food-handling practices
