Account Manager - Delaware Basin
Smart Chemical Services has an immediate opening for an Account Manager in the Delaware Basin area. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who thrives on building strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering technical solutions that drive customer success.
Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for growing and managing customer accounts by providing technical expertise, proactive service, and tailored chemical treatment solutions. This role partners closely with customers to understand operational challenges, recommend value-added solutions, and ensure consistent, high-quality service that supports safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and grow assigned customer accounts by developing strong relationships and serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product and service offerings by understanding customer operations, challenges, and goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day field operations to ensure chemical treatment programs are executed according to schedule and performance expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding quickly to customer needs, questions, and operational issues.
  • Leverage technical knowledge of chemical products, applications, and oil and gas well equipment to recommend effective treatment solutions.
  • Coordinate with field personnel, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels and delivery records to support uninterrupted customer operations.

Required Skills, Education & Knowledge
  • Acceptable driving record with a minimum of three (3) years of driving history.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a consultative sales mindset.
  • Knowledge of chemical processes and utilization in yard and field operations.
  • Proven ability to analyze customer needs, develop solutions, and close opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in chemical treatment within the oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in oil and gas operations or technical sales.
  • Demonstrated success growing accounts, increasing revenue, or expanding service scope.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to influence across teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
