About the role
Located at our Huntsville, AL facility, Reworld Huntsville seeks a dedicated individual who will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of Profiled Waste and Regulated Medical Waste. This position will work under the direction of the Supplemental Waste Program Manager. Applicant must recognize this is Shift Work and may require you to work various shifts including weekends, overtime, and call ins, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating forklifts, front-end-loaders, street sweeper, automated feed system, and other equipment.
  • Perform equipment inspections.
  • Monitor vehicle activity on the tipping floor.
  • Take appropriate action to prevent equipment damage or personal injury.
  • Record data and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform painting, cleanup work and various other tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining the grounds and housekeeping of the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with established environmental and safety practices.
  • Assist plant operations and maintenance.
  • This is an entry level position that provides the opportunity to advance into Plant Operations.

Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma/GED is preferred. Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Must possess good mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have the ability to operate such equipment as referenced above.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be respirator fit tested and able to work with a respirator.
  • Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
  • Quality to wear a full-face respirator
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

Shift Work:
  • Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Overtime is required.

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $47,400.00 - $63,100.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
