Job description

Description & Requirements
If you would like more information about our company, you can visit our website here: Who We Are - CDWI
This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Schedule: Flexible Schedule - Light hourly care starting in the family home, building up to overnights in a provider's home
Compensation: $17.67/Hr OR $259/Overnight

About the Role:
Responsibilities include general supervision, ensuring safety, assisting with meals, supporting bedtime routines, and providing some light personal care related to toileting. One child wears pull-ups, and another may need assistance with "Number 2". The boys are comfortable sharing a sleep space, though separate sleeping arrangements are a plus (but not required).

About the Kids:
Each child has a unique personality and set of needs:
  • Child #1 - thrives on routine and order. He benefits from consistency and may become dysregulated if things don't go as expected. He enjoys Roblox, coloring, cars, bubbles, and asking lots of "why" questions.
  • Child #2 - is generally easygoing and enjoys trying new things, especially games, biking, and math activities. He experiences high anxiety during thunderstorms and may need reassurance and support during those times.
  • Child #3 - is affectionate, but can also be impulsive and defiant at many times. He benefits from calm, patient redirection and enjoys music, outdoor play, and hands-on activities.
The boys all enjoy spending time outside. Walks, park visits, and active play are highly encouraged.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Patient, calm, and consistent. Someone who can manage behaviors as they arise without raising their voice or becoming overwhelmed
  • Physically active and attentive, able to keep up with multiple children at one time
  • Experienced in childcare (not ideal for someone without prior experience)
  • Strong communicator who can collaborate with the parent on routines and expectations
  • Understanding of child development, non-verbal communication styles and behavioral needs

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license/Reliable vehicle/Auto insurance
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to Pass a Caregiver/Criminal Background Check

If you are a dependable caregiver who enjoys working with children and can provide a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment, we'd love to hear from you!
