SUMMARY:

It is an exciting time to join the fast-growing Defense, Aerospace and SATCOM (DAS) Business Unit, focused on cutting-edge RF components and systems for the defense, aerospace and SATCOM markets.   We are looking for a highly technical and strategy-driven radar, communications or systems subject matter expert (SME) to serve as a technical leader.  In this role you will support internal product line definitions, product strategy, product roadmaps and support business opportunities assisting customers defining solutions using Qorvo products from all business units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in RF architecture for Radar, communications and/or SATCOM, supporting internal reviews and customer engagements.
  • Drive architectural trade studies across performance, SWaP, scalability, and mission constraints.
  • Influence system architecture, performance trades, and technical baselines across multiple programs for internal and customer projects.
  • Analyze and document component and subsystem specifications for internal and external projects.
  • Support Systems Solutions and Antenna team with developing prototypes, development kits and reference designs.
  • Support product line strategy, defining technical requirements for new component and antenna system developments.
  • Support product line road maps with product link managers and key stakeholders to define a compelling future vision.
  • Define new differentiated products that create value by solving significant customer design challenges.
  • Develop customer relationships and partnerships through ongoing engagement, promoting products, roadmap, and capabilities to customers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, test, product engineering and program teams.
  • Participate or lead complex and significant proposals, shaping technical strategy to secure new program opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSEE degree in Electrical or Computer engineering w/ 15+ or MSEE/PhD with 7+years relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in systems engineering leadership (requirements, architecture, integration and test, verification, risk management)
  • Experience collaborating directly with customers in RF markets.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and develop compliant proposal responses.
  • Direct experience working with RF products and Defense & Aerospace customers.
  • Ability to complete a technical project independently and mentor and coach other engineers.
  • Experience with phased array antenna systems, beamforming, RF cascade analysis and calibration.
  • Diligence, strong analytical and business skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • System-level understanding of RF, silicon IC, and control subsystems and their components desired.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
