We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to drive the ongoing success of Indirect Fires Protection Capability (IFPC) missile launcher and interceptor development. In this mission-critical position, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of advanced air and missile defense software that protects our forces. You will use modern software developmental practices to drive iterative delivery and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), you will be responsible to guide air and missile defense software through every phase of its life-cycle, from initial requirements definition and design through development and long-term sustainment. You will conduct technical evaluations that include rigorously assessing development designs, planning, testing methodologies, and maintenance protocols to ensure the highest standards for mission-critical systems. You will proactively identify, evaluate, and resolve technical risks and programmatic concerns impacting the design, fielding, and operation of US Army PM SHIELD systems while driving software quality by leading verification and validation (V&V) efforts, conducting qualification testing, and investigating issues through design and failure review boards.
Required
  • ABET accredited engineering degree or BS in technical field
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Agile software development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • 12 years of engineering-related experience
  • Some travel
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
