Activities Director (Engagement Director)

Arbor Terrace Waugh Chapel| Gambrills, MD

We're looking for a creative, energetic Activities Director (Engagement Director) to lead engaging lifestyle programs for our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents while creating memorable experiences that enrich their lives.

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents

  • Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family-centered programs

  • Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters

  • Encourage resident participation through creative, person-centered programming

  • Supervise and support activity team members

  • Build relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners

  • Ensure programs support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being

  • Maintain activity supplies, documentation, and regulatory compliance
