Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Air Defense Artillery Operations Analyst to join our team in support of the 32nd Army Air Missile Defense Command at Fort Bliss, Texas. This position is integral to the Operations Center (OPCEN), supporting real-time military operations across the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). The successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure smooth communication, sustained situational awareness, and operational continuity.

The Air Defense Analyst will be responsible for but not limited Artillery Operations to the following duties: 

  • Support 24/7 operations within a high-tempo operations center, coordinating with Combatant Commands, Army Commands, Joint Task Forces, and coalition forces to maintain situational awareness.
  • Prepare daily plans and estimates and provide clear and actionable information to leadership.
  • Collect, analyze, and consolidate operational data from subordinate commands and staff for executive summaries and situational updates.
  • Manage Operations Planning Systems and assist in developing the command Current Operational Picture (COP).
  • Maintain awareness of global events impacting operations and provide timely analysis for decision-makers; work with G35 Future Operations Planners.
  • Ensure round-the-clock monitoring of key military communication systems (NIPR, SIPR, AMHS, Mission Command systems) to ensure operational readiness and continuity.
  • Coordinate with component command centers on operational issues, readiness, emergency updates, and training status.
  • Prepare and distribute the Situational Report (SITREP) and assist in maintaining operational continuity books, battle drills, and other tracking tools.
  • Maintain proficiency with audiovisual systems and other automated tools critical to daily operations.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years’ experience; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in military operations or direct support to military/government customers.
  • Minimum of 12 months of Air and Missile Defense experience at the battalion level or higher; preferably experience as a staff-level officer at Battalion, Brigade, or AAMDC; or at a Service Component or Combatant Command HQ.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to produce reports and deliverables in various formats (digital matrices, web-enabled formats).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills are essential.
