The Facilities Logistics Manager will serve as the solo Facilities and Logistics Lead managing day-to-day operations for a ~2,500 to 4,000 sq ft defense facility in Arlington, VA. This role provides end-to-end facility oversight, vendor management, physical security, and hands-on operational leadership for the site’s shipping and receiving department.  




Requirements:

  • Facility Operations: 8+ years of hands-on experience managing commercial or government facilities (~2,500-4,000+ sq ft) including vendor/contractor management (HVAC, janitorial, maintenance, access control).

  • Shipping Receiving Operations: Proven ability to manage incoming/outgoing freight, package logging, inventory tracking, and warehouse/dock area maintenance.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to repeatedly lift, move, push, pull, and position equipment and shipping containers weighing up to 75 lbs.

  • Security Clearance: Active Public Trust (or immediate eligibility to undergo a Public Trust background investigation).

  • On-Site Execution: Dedicated 100% on-site presence in Arlington, VA; ability to handle emergency facility call-outs as required.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with government property handling standards (FAR Part 45 / DFARS) or Defense Logistics Processes.

  • Experience administering physical access control platforms (e.g., Lenel, C-CURE) and security badging. 

  • Certifications in facility management (IFMA CFM/FMP) or workplace safety (OSHA 10/30, EHS guidelines).

  • Hands-on equipment handling certifications (e.g., forklift, material handling equipment)
