PLEX Solutions, LLC, Part of Markon, is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to support a customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.  In this role, you will lead complex software engineering efforts, apply advanced technical principles, and contribute innovative solutions that support critical hardware and technical service products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
  • Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
  • May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • May supervise computer programmers.
  • Inspects, cleans, transforms, and models data to highlight useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision making.
  • Develops software planning documentation, requirements and design documentation, support documentation, test description documentation.
  • Conducts software validation and verification, and software engineering anomaly resolution.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with applicable DoD guidance and industry standards.
  • Performs installation, demonstration, test, validation and evaluation of software tools, methods, and measurement technologies.
  • Performs computer network exploitation development.
  • Evaluates the quality of software systems and solutions.
  • Performs needs and risk analysis of software packages relative to mission requirements.
  • Develops, updates, and evaluates software engineering standards, specifications, handbooks, or manuals for the development and testing of cyber capabilities.
  • Documents verification and validation of solutions and protocols, and provides technical assistance to user organizations on software acquisition.
  • Develops life cycle models and customizes software analytical tools, models, decision aids, screening methods, and techniques used to evaluate and support the authenticity and continuity of information systems.
  • Develops specialized software/firmware modules.
  • Disassembles and analyzes software and embedded firmware.
  • Collaborates with Cyber Innovation Unit.
  • Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph
  • 15+ years of related professional experience in a technical engineering discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
  • Proven ability to lead a project team
  • Strong command of advanced engineering principles and software development theories
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Proficiency developing software in one or more operating environments (Windows, Linux, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities

    Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Master's degree preferred
Salary RangeUSD $195,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
