Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to support a company focused on defense aviation, flight software development, and mission-critical aircraft systems. This position is onsite at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK. The Software Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software models and operational flight software for strategic bomber platforms. Join a team responsible for developing software that helps ensure the performance, safety, and mission readiness of critical military aircrafts. Responsibilities for the Software Engineer include: * Design, develop, test, and maintain software system and subsystem engineering models.
* Develop and support operational flight software used for aircraft monitoring and testing.
* Analyze and translate customer requirements and technical specifications into software solutions.
* Support software integration efforts and enhance system performance and functionality.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Required Qualifications for the Software Engineer include: * Experience developing software using C and/or ADA.
* Experience with JIRA for requirements management, workflow tracking, and development activities.
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and software integration.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Must be a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.
* Active Secret Clearance required to start.
* Experience with embedded software design is preferred.
