Role Description The Sales Manager, Aerospace & Defense is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for leading the commercial efforts of the Aerospace and Defense business segment: identifying and developing new business opportunities, working with sales reps to manage key customer accounts, and driving sales growth for forged and machined, steel aerospace and defense products. Day-to-day activities include building and maintaining relationships with decision-makers, working with team members to prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal engineering and operational groups, as well as leading sales teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will monitor market trends, macroeconomic activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies and forecast revenue. This role also involves regular reporting on sales performance, participating in industry events, and supporting long-term account planning and customer satisfaction initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Strong background in aerospace and defense sales, including experience managing complex accounts and long sales cycles.
  • Experience with forged steel products and their manufacturing process
  • Proficiency in developing and executing sales strategies, forecasting, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical specifications and collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams.
