Do you enjoy turning complex drawings into clear inspection strategies? Are you at home with calipers and micrometers, as well as CMMs and vision systems? If so, our full-time Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist role could be a great fit.

What will you tackle?
  • Translate customer prints into measurable features and checkpoints
  • Execute quality control plans from incoming through final inspection
  • Verify dimensions and features against specifications
  • Capture results with accuracy and consistency in required formats
  • Apply good documentation practices and maintain traceability
  • Detect and report scratches, burrs, cosmetic defects, and dimensional variation
  • Care for, calibrate, and correctly store inspection equipment
Tools and methods you will use
  • Mechanical inspection equipment: calipers, micrometers, height and pin gages
  • SPC applications: QC-CALC or equivalent, plus Minitab or Sigma Excel
  • FAI creation and Final Inspection Certifications
  • Vision inspection systems such as Micro-Vu
  • CMM programming and operation using PC-DMIS
  • GD&T, machining principles, and formal quality control plans
  • ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 quality management frameworks
  • Calibration practices and records
Preferred background

Associate degree in Quality or at least 2 years of mechanical inspection experience.
