Job description

Sales Manager – Industrial Water (Flex Business) USA

MTD Pure Water is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager (Individual Contributor) to drive new business growth within the U.S. industrial water market. This role is focused on developing and converting a strong pipeline of new clients across sectors where temporary and scalable water infrastructure is mission-critical.

You will originate opportunities, shape technical-commercial solutions, and close complex deals across both commercial and government-aligned markets. This is a true hunter role, requiring a proactive, performance-oriented professional with a strong track record in B2B solution sales and market expansion.

Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) / General Manager MTD USA

Location: Atlanta, GA

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive net-new business development, with full ownership of pipeline creation, qualification, and conversion
  • Identify and secure opportunities across key sectors, including:
    • Government contractors and prime/subcontractor networks
    • Industrial and manufacturing operations
    • Defense and government-related projects
    • Multinational corporations with complex, multi-site needs
    • NGOs and humanitarian organizations
    • Temporary housing and camp infrastructure (e.g., workforce housing, refugee support)
    • Water utilities and public infrastructure providers
    • Offshore and energy-related operations
  • Execute the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, technical discovery, site assessments, solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
  • Develop targeted territory and vertical market strategies, including engagement with government contracting ecosystems and procurement channels
  • Build and manage relationships with senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders, including procurement teams, project managers, and engineering leads
  • Position MTD’s solutions as reliable, scalable, and sustainability-driven in competitive and mission-critical environments
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Project Management to ensure technical feasibility and successful delivery
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets, margin objectives, and activity KPIs
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and competitive developments—including public sector and contracting trends—to identify new growth opportunities

What makes you the right candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Proven success in hunter-style B2B sales, with a strong record of generating new business
  • Experience working with or selling into government contractors, public sector projects, or regulated industries is strongly preferred
  • Background in industrial water, wastewater, utilities, energy, offshore, defence, or infrastructure solutions is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and procurement processes
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and results orientation
  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable operating independently with clear performance accountability
  • Team player willing to align with other members of the MTD Sales and Project teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience (e.g., Hubspot) preferred
  • Willingness to travel extensively to client sites, including industrial and remote locations

In this role, you will play a key part in expanding MTD’s footprint across industrial, governmental, and humanitarian sectors, delivering solutions where access to safe and reliable water is essential. You’ll join a growth-focused, entrepreneurial organization where individual performance directly drives impact and success.

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives
  • 401(k)
  • 20 days PTO
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Ongoing professional development and training
