Job description

Work Location: Remote
Position Type: 10 months
Location: Texas
Compensation Range: $25 per hour


Our multinational manufacturing client is looking for a Deduction Analyst. 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex deduction resolution process through collaboration with Customers, Sales, Retail Finance, Collectors, and Supply Chain functions. 
  • Analyze customer deduction details and determine claim/deduction validity in alignment with business Terms & Conditions. 
  • Generate and review the Deductions Ageing Report as needed and ensure all assigned customer claims and deductions are closed within predefined timeframes. 
  • Analyze Customer promotional systems to validate performance pricing & volume and use discretion to identify discrepancies to include other CPG companies or businesses. 
  • Use discretion and independent judgment to align material information with the customer to be able to capture orders. 
  • Use discretion and independent judgment to properly code deduction clearing in accordance with Audit and SOX compliance measures.
  • Finalize the deduction resolution through the creation of payment/credit requests via SAP, Trade Spend Management tool. 
  • Engagement in continuous Improvement activities related to Deduction Management  

Qualification:

  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred  
  • 2-4 years of work experience in the CPG industry and/or Trade promotion experience preferred 
  • Advanced computer skills encompassing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Experience working with major retail portals a plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask within a team environment, interacting with individuals at all levels both internal and external 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data 
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency in SAP, BW and Business Objects preferred 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
