The SkyWater Industrial Staff Engineer will use various modeling techniques, data analytics tools, statistical methods, and planning concepts to ensure timely decision making, fab efficiency and customer satisfaction. The I.E. will support capacity planning, on-time delivery, data automation, decision science, manufacturing execution, and strategic planning for the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize data analytics and statistical methods to communicate information that supports factory decision making.
  • Work with cross functional teams to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Cycle Time, and bottleneck tool efficiency.
  • Functional area ownership for capacity modeling and fab improvement projects.
  • Support customer commits and on time performance.
  • Support Operations by setting factory metrics and prioritizing improvements across all shifts.
  • On-floor presence to remove operational and tactical constraints in the factory.
  • Justify Capital expenditures to meet capacity, development, and factory growth needs.
  • Develop and improve business processes that support I.E. and planning.

Required Qualifications:
  • Requires 5+ years experience with BS, 3+ years of experience with MS in Industrial Engineering or related degree. Will consider equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience using various modeling techniques, statistical methods and planning tools used in Manufacturing Science and Production Control.
  • Experience with Capacity Modeling and functional area ownership to support OEE and Cycle Time improvements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SQL/Linux scripting
  • Statistical software - JMP, Minitab, etc.
  • U.S. Person Required: This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-6 years semiconductor experience preferred
  • Data Mining & Analytics using ETL software (Extract, Transform, Load) - SQL, APF, Talend, Google Big Query, Oracle, etc.
  • Advanced Simulation Modeling
  • Real Time Dispatching

The annual salary range for this role is $95,200 - $142,800. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
