About Decibel

Decibel is a high-performance, fully on‑chain trading platform built in collaboration with Aptos Labs and the Decibel Foundation. It offers spot, perpetuals, and yield products through a unified, self‑custodial interface, leveraging the Aptos blockchain’s sub‑20ms block times and parallel execution to support real‑time settlement, cross‑margining, and modular vault strategies. Decibel aims to serve as the execution layer for the Aptos global trading engine, empowering traders, developers, and institutions with scalable, composable financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partner to the Founders: Drive clarity around priorities, synthesize inputs, and ensure high‑quality decision‑making across product, trading, and GTM.
  • Program & Project Leadership: Own mission‑critical projects end‑to‑end – from scoping and planning to execution and measurement.
  • Cross‑functional Alignment: Facilitate communication and coordination between engineering, trading, operations, BD, and external partners.
  • Operational Excellence: Build lightweight systems and processes to improve execution velocity without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Market & Competitive Insights: Help pressure‑test strategy, analyze data, and produce synthesis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Special Projects: Lead or support high‑leverage founder initiatives – token programs, BD partnerships, infra improvements, trading operations workflows, investor materials, etc.
  • Talent Support: Partner with leadership on evaluating, coordinating, and onboarding key hires across the company.
  • Communications: Draft strategic communications, including briefs, updates, presentations, and partner‑facing documents.
Qualifications
  • 4–8+ years of experience in high‑performance environments (crypto, trading, IB, PE, VC, consulting, or fast‑growth technology companies).
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex, ambiguous workstreams and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical rigor: financial modeling, problem‑structuring, competitive analysis, or operational modeling experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexity and present with clarity.
  • Proven ability to operate in fast‑moving, resource‑constrained environments with shifting priorities.
  • High EQ, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across time zones with a global, distributed team.
Why Join Decibel

Direct exposure to the founders and core decision‑making processes. Opportunity to influence strategy, operations, and execution at a company building the future of on‑chain derivatives markets. High ownership, high impact role with a wide surface area across trading, engineering, and GTM. Lean, fast‑moving culture with minimal bureaucracy and meaningful autonomy.

Our Benefits
  • Insurance premium coverage
  • Flexible vacation time
  • Competitive salary
  • Protocol token grants
