Position Summary
Actively greets members, provides a high level of member service, performs clean up, department set-up and closing tasks as necessary.
Job Duties
  • Greets members, helps members load order onto conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, thanks members, assists cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items and positioning them for scanning.
  • Packs member orders into boxes and loads to a separate cart or flatbed. Checks packaging for tampering. Follow all safety and security procedures. Follows proper departmental procedures for performance of duties. Assists members loading orders into the car when appropriate.
  • May assist members with self checkouts with regards to scanning heavy merchandise, entering in items numbers.
  • May assist members with self checkouts through monitoring the registers for errors and keeping the belt area clean of product and debris.
  • Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front-end area. Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
  • Performs set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area.
  • Transfers pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to the steel shelves and bulk wall for storage, or directly to the sales floor.
  • Assists with stocking. Clears sales floor debris. Observes and ensures correct product signage; creates computer-generated signs. Labels unmarked product with item number.
  • Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Assists with department duties as necessary.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
