Job description

Position Summary
Obtains, calculates and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates, preparing routine estimates under general supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring that all quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and complete
  • Provide support for the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson of job elements
  • Leads the documentation management of the project, ensures all documents are complete and clearly conveys decisions made to sales and operations teams.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and scope
  • Participate in bid closings and estimate reviews
  • Balance workload and assignments to meet deadlines
  • Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient
  • Manage action items from Post Bid and finalize ISEC scope.
  • Compute cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities and requirements, and labor.
