Job description

Job ID:  525899

CRH's Americas Materials division is the leading integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready mixed concrete and paving and construction services in North America. Our operations span North America with over 29,000 employees at close to 1,660 locations in 45 US States and 2 Canadian provinces.

Position Overview

We need a hands-on SAP leader who has built and run these value streams before, who can sit at the table with the business and IT, make the call, and drive a pragmatic solution to the finish line, and not a theorist who designs slideware and waits for consensus.

You will lead three connected value streams across both the active SAP transformation and ongoing enhancement and support, running and transforming at the same time: Construction Accounting, Hire-to-Retire, and Plan-to-Produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery across the three value streams within the broader SAP transformation, while keeping enhancement and production support healthy and predictable. The transformation does not get an excuse to let “run” slip.
  • Make architecture and design decisions with conviction and grounded in having done this work before  and stand behind them. Drive toward the pragmatic answer rather than the perfect-on-paper one.
  • Own construction accounting on SAP: project structures, cost flows, WIP, revenue recognition, and the FI/CO/PS integration that makes percentage-of-completion and job costing actually work in a building products context.
  • Direct the H2R stream on SuccessFactors so HR processes, data, and downstream integrations are clean and reliable.
  • Direct Plan-to-Produce on PP and PM so production planning and plant maintenance support the realities of the plants and the products they make.
  • Coach and develop the two Managers and their teams and set expectations, hold the line on quality, and build a group that delivers.
  • Bring people together. You will spend real time aligning groups that don’t naturally agree and getting them to a decision everyone can move forward on.
  • Be accountable for your areas: timelines, budget, quality, adoption, and the production stability of what you put in.
  • Business Value Stream Leaders: your business counterparts who own the process and outcomes
  • IT Legacy Applications, Data, and Integration teams: for migration, interfaces, and the realities of the current landscape
  • Business Performance: to tie what you build to measurable results
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM): so what you deliver actually lands with the people who use it

Qualifications

  • Proven, hands-on experience leading SAP delivery in construction accounting on SAP PS, CO, and FI  and you understand project-based costing and accounting deeply, not at a surface level.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (H2R) and SAP PP and PM (Plan-to-Produce).
  • Experience in the building products industry (or closely adjacent manufacturing / construction-heavy environments).
  • A track record of having done this before and you’ve stood up and run these areas, made the hard calls, and lived with the results.
  • Experience operating inside an SAP transformation while also owning enhancement and production support for your area.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring people together and drive pragmatic solutions across business and IT groups that don’t always agree.
  • A bias toward decisions and delivery over analysis and debate.
  • Experience coordinating with legacy application, data, and integration teams during a migration or platform shift.
  • Exposure to OCM-driven adoption and to tying delivery back to business performance metrics.
  • Atlanta-based role.
