Job description

Leeco Steel is a leading supplier of carbon, HSLA and alloy steels from the premier mills worldwide. We have an opening in our Sales Department for a full-time Sales Associate. This position assists in a customer service role through inputting and tracking orders  as a member of our sales team. This position requires in-office attendance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process customer purchase orders by entering them into Leeco’s programs.
  • Input customer sales orders.
  • Review order acknowledgments for accuracy.
  • Data input of customer Bill of Lading information.
  • Track the location of railcars containing customer material.
  • Prepare information for the billing department for material that has shipped to the customer.
  • Manage/track the customer material testing certificates.
  • Manage customer claims.
  • Audit completed orders.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and recording keeping regarding the sales function.
  • Assist sales representatives/product specialists in expediting and followup of orders in production.
  • Provide support to the sales staff in its effort to give customers the best possible quality and service.
  • Manage the orders and correspondence in appropriate customer files.
  • Provide error-free work to all internal and external customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills: Must be able to concentrate and maintain productivity in high pressure situations and assist with customer requests and follow up. Detail oriented, experienced with Microsoft Excel with excellent computer skills. Experience with Microsoft GP is a plus.
