The Engagement TOSA is responsible for working closely with our Dean of Students in working directly with students around attendance, engagement, and overall support in being successful.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for a caseload of students needing support with interventions and reengagement.
  • Support student access through executive functioning supports, which includes planning and prioritizing, goal setting and goal persistence, task initiation and task completion.
  • Value diversity and equity and creates an atmosphere that is culturally responsive.
  • Identify and differentiate for the unique learning needs of each individual student.
  • Case manage general education students, who are in the MTSS process, which includes developing, implementing, and monitoring student plans.
  • Effectively manage the learning environment of the Academic Intervention Center.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues, families and community partners to support student achievement.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders to inform student progress towards goals.
  • Monitors data to inform and revise student plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or Special Services Provider (Counselor) license or have licensure application in process (must upload license or in process documentation to application)
  • Minimum of three years experience teaching and/or a minimum of three years of educational leadership experience, e.g., school-based, central office, educational BOCES, etc.
  • Completed and submitted BVSD online application
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (must pass BVSD assessment)

Preferred:
  • ESL Certification
  • Technological proficiency with Google platforms, Infinite Campus and Infor
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
