Job Description Summary
Assist the Attallah College of Educational Studies Dean, staff, and dean's office with general office and administrative support, events, communications, academic programs and research, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Be an Attallah College ambassador: provide excellent customer service, give building or campus tours, serve as a liaison between the college and interested community visitors and guests
- Support the dean's office: assist with updating lists and inventories, keep storage spaces organized, process photocopying and scanning as requested, complete campus errands and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
- Support general office and business operations: data entry, file and organize materials, convert and refresh documents to digital or online, create and make forms editable and fillable, assist with confidential and financial paperwork, proofread and provide feedback, complete budget and other reports as needed
- Support events: help plan and work events, create materials and reports, design fliers and invitations, help maintain event supplies and storage, etc.
- Support communications: maintain and update email and contact lists, help create campus signage and posters, take and upload photos, help maintain photo archives, update web and social media, etc.
- Support academic programs and research: conduct library and internet searches for accurate and current information, assists with organizing and preparing materials and test kits for student check-out and assists with tracking their return, organize materials and research requests or projects, etc.
- 10 hours weekly, assisting multiple staff members
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
Preference for students in the Integrated Educational Studies Program or an Education Minor. Strong attention to detail, good communication and organizational skills, and effective time management. Experience using software including Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Canvas, Concur or Travel and Expense Reimbursements, Dropbox, Poll Everywhere, Qualtrics, Zoom
