What You’ll Do

You will clean, detail, and photograph new and pre-owned vehicles while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced dealership environment.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Detail Technician to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional vehicle cleaning, polishing, and finishing services to ensure each vehicle meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in vehicle exterior and interior detailing, along with your commitment to safe work practices, will help deliver a polished, pristine vehicle every time. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in auto detailing while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle exterior washing, including hand washing and use of cleaning equipment to remove dirt and grime effectively.
  • Conduct vehicle paint correction and buffing using automotive buffers and polishing tools to restore shine and remove surface imperfections.
  • Apply vehicle interior detailing techniques to clean carpets, upholstery, dashboards, windows, and other surfaces for a spotless finish.
  • Photograph vehicles after training.
  • Utilize safe work practices during all detailing procedures, including heavy lifting and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness throughout the process by inspecting for missed spots or smudges and performing touch-ups as needed.
  • Operate manual transmission vehicles safely during test drives or movement within the auto detailing facility.
  • Use various cleaning tools and janitorial equipment efficiently to uphold high standards of cleanliness within the auto detailing facility.
  • Support team efforts in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that promotes safety and efficiency at all times.

Experience

  • Prior experience in auto detailing or auto wash environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
  • Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and safe work practices is essential.
  • Experience with automotive buffing, vehicle paint correction, and interior cleaning techniques is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling cleaning equipment or vehicles.
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience can be beneficial in maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Strong customer service skills are important for interacting professionally with clients and team members alike.
