Position Overview

As a Porter, youll play a key role in ensuring an organized, clean, and customer-friendly dealership environment. You will support service and lot operations by managing vehicle flow, assisting customers, maintaining inventory appearance, and ensuring that all vehicles meet dealership presentation standards.


Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Flow & Lot Management

  • Oversee vehicle movement in the Service Drive, Car Wash, Service Shop, and lot.

  • Arrange and park vehicles in designated areas.

  • Keep parking lots clean, organized, and free of litter and debris.

  • Replace sold vehicles with new inventory and maintain showroom-ready displays.

Service Support

  • Assist Service Advisors by transporting vehicles to/from technician stalls.

  • Stage completed vehicles for customer pickup.

  • Ensure all customer and inventory vehicles are clean and presentable.

  • Help maintain car wash and detailing areas.

Vehicle Care

  • Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles inside and out.

  • Apply wax and tire shine as needed.

  • Check that new vehicles display correct factory stickers, addendum labels, and pricing.

Customer Service

  • Assist with customer vehicle drop-off and pick-up.

  • Handle all customer vehicles with care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Inventory & Key Management

  • Track key usage and vehicle location accurately.

  • Report missing keys, vehicles, or other irregularities to supervisors promptly.

General Support

  • Perform other tasks as needed to support dealership operations.

  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior porter or automotive service experience preferred but not required.

  • License: Valid drivers license held for at least 2 years with a clean driving record.

  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
