Position Overview
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking to hire a motivated IT Senior AWS Developer to join its Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) team supporting MassHealth Applications.
MassHealth applications provide critical support for access to healthcare services for vulnerable populations throughout Massachusetts.
The Sr. AWS Developer's primary role is to support the design and development of a serverless application that enables providers to submit online forms and seamlessly transmit files to a document management system. The solution captures and stores metadata during upload sessions in a PostgreSQL RDS database for audit and compliance purposes.
This position is anticipated to be a minimum six-month engagement with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation in the development and maintenance of critical applications.
  • Accountable for full systems development life cycle including:
    • System architecture documents

  • Prepare SQL scripts for modifying and maintaining data.
  • Write optimized queries and views for integration with other applications.
  • Document and maintain code using change control software.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to manage projects, create statements of work, and communicate progress on goals to both technical and non-technical groups.
