The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic and mission-focused team supporting an Interagency Action Group (IAG) at U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategic financial planning across multiple high-impact federal initiatives. This position involves close coordination with key U.S. Interagency Partners, including Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
This is an exciting opportunity to directly support counter-drug and national security initiatives, applying your expertise to real-world missions that make a global impact.
Responsibilities:
You will establish the metrics, measures and program performance strategies to support Assessments, Monitoring, and Evaluations (AM&E). The position provides CENTCOM, Department of Defense (DoD) and Interagency stakeholders with informed perspectives on program achievements, and offers strategic level input to IAG planning, policy and doctrine products. You will assist the IAG leadership team and program managers to develop a comprehensive whole-of-government approach to counter threat networks in support of CENTCOM objectives as well as the means to measure and assess these outcomes and effects.
You will also augment the leadership team in the CENTCOM Operations Directorate and IAG performing research and analysis with an emphasis on program evaluation, monitoring and assessments of effects achieved from the programs and initiatives generated and managed by the IAG.
Specific Duties include:
  • Manage the IAG's Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation efforts. Builds and maintains, modifies the measurement strategy that effectively evaluates CENTCOM's programs against Counter-Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC), Counter Threat Finance (CTF), and Counter Drug (CD) related goals. With outcome measurement in mind, you will contribute to the development of IAG objectives that integrate DoW strategic guidance and procedures.
  • Develop and apply knowledge and skills in transformative platforms and tools. This includes evolving DoW Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms and digital automation information tools such as Palantir, Maven Smart System (MSS), Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) and other related systems.
  • IAG Action Officer. Where necessary, support Branch and Division leadership as a "go-to" Action Officer to execute IAG tasking across the full spectrum of typical command tasks. The position is classified as Mission Essential during periods of CENTCOM Command response to specific threats and conditions.

Qualifications:
Required:
Typically requires five (5) years of overall professional experience, along with a bachelor's degree. For this specific position, the following qualifications are required:
  • Experience in the area of personnel management and training and performance review metrics.
  • Excellent managerial and communication skills.
  • Current/active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience with AM&E; DoD Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms; and digital automation tools such as Palantir, Maven Smart System (MSS), Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE), and other related system.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent; and/or Defense Acquisition University Level III certification or equivalent.
