Sr Product Development Manager-Medical Device

Senior Manager - Product Development, Medical Device & Software Solutions Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Manager to lead our product development team reporting to executive leadership. This role will oversee multiple direct reports who are responsible for their own portfolios of waste management with mail back solutions, OSHA/ HIPPA compliance and waterline testing as well as our emergency response and emergency medicine product lines. In addition to leading and providing development and support to these roles, the Sr. Manager will also be responsible for driving the development, enhancement, and long-term roadmap of our product and compliance management software.

This role is responsible for day to day product management including a close relationship with IT, driving product innovation, optimizing user experience, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

In addition to core product responsibilities, this leader will own pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with market dynamics, customer value, and company growth objectives. Furthermore, our product offering is robust with DEA and FDA regulated products and developing a strategy in compliance is essential. This is a senior-level role with direct reports, will report to executive leadership and will require strong people leadership and cross-functional influence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for our flagship software โ€“ which manages tracking, reporting, and replenishment
  • Oversee the product strategy of multiple product lines and proving the team with guidance ensuring compliance and operational excellence
  • Translate market trends, customer needs, and business goals into actionable product initiatives
  • Manage the teamโ€™s priorities to ensure appropriate enhancements based on impact, feasibility, and ROI
  • Partner with customer service, IT, and operations to deliver high-quality releases on time
Product Development & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through optimization for our core software which integrates with our entire portfolio
  • Partner with Scrum development teams to drive product releases, enhancements, and backlog prioritization as it pertains to our flagship software
  • Oversee ongoing improvement and enhancement of the software management system to optimize performance, usability, and customer value
  • Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria as it pertains to our flagship software
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement through data and customer feedback across portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and data standards
Pricing & Commercial Strategy
  • Develop and own pricing strategy, including packaging, tiering, and monetization models
  • Collaborate with enterprise sales representatives to support product positioning and contribute to sales development efforts
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and willingness-to-pay assessments
  • Partner with sales and finance to align pricing with revenue and growth targets
  • Support contract strategy and structure, including pricing terms, renewals, and discounting frameworks
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers with adjacent product portfolios
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture focused on accountability and outcomes
  • Establish best practices for product management processes, tools, and governance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead the product development team as the primary liaison to cross functional collaboration
  • Support go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and sales enablement efforts
Qualifications Required
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership responsibility with direct reports
  • Experience managing SaaS or software platforms, preferably in healthcare or medical office environments
  • Proven experience developing and executing pricing strategies and models
  • Strong background in contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
  • Experience with medical office management, practice management, or healthcare IT systems
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
  • MBA or advanced degree in business, healthcare, or related field

The posted range for this position is $113,962.00-$178,067.00 annually which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to be fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
