To thrive as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), you need a DDS or DMD degree, state licensure, and a solid foundation in dental procedures, oral health, and patient care. Proficiency with dental imaging software, digital charting systems, and the latest dental technologies is typically expected. Outstanding manual dexterity, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal communication skills help build trust and ensure effective patient care. These competencies are critical for delivering high-quality dental treatment, maintaining safety, and fostering patient satisfaction.
