About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled DDI Engineer with deep enterprise experience in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development and Ansible automation skills, enabling the ability to build scalable, data-driven solutions and streamline operational workflows.

This role requires someone who can execute independently, quickly learn new technologies, and drive outcomes with minimal oversight. The candidate must also be capable of designing architecture, defining standards, and developing operational procedures to support secure, resilient, and highly available DDI services.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in implementing network security policies across routers and firewalls

  • Manage production networks including Internet Protocol backbone, data centers and edge pops across the globe

  • Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services

  • Identify gaps, risks and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them

  • Perform quarterly proactive network testing to ensure proper functioning and reliability of the network

  • Investigate and remediate network capacity related issues

  • Apply knowledge of security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions

  • Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis

  • Deliver comprehensive and maintenance plans for change management review and approval

  • Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) platforms across on-prem and cloud environments Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python and Ansible to improve provisioning, data validation, and operational efficiency Demonstrate strong proficiency in Linux systems, including administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of DDI-related services Execute independently on complex engineering tasks with minimal oversight, driving initiatives from concept through delivery Create and maintain scalable DDI architecture aligned with enterprise standards for resilience, security, and performance Define and document engineering procedures, operational runbooks, and best practices to support consistent service delivery Integrate DDI services with security, cloud, and network platforms to support modern infrastructure requirements Analyze large datasets and implement data-driven solutions to improve IP address management and DNS integrity Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and methodologies to modernize DDI services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network, security, and application requirements Troubleshoot and resolve complex DDI-related issues in production, including OS-level (Linux) and application-layer problems


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years' experience with DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (IPAM), and Network Time Protocol (NTP) systems, including architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Must have Experience working with Enterprise DDI Platforms Such as Bluecat or Infoblox.

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions for core network services.
  • Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation of log rotation, data collection, error handling, and alerting.
  • Hands-on experience with synthetic transaction development for proactive monitoring of infrastructure and applications.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding less experienced staff.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD automated build and deployment processes.
  • Advanced scripting skills specifically around log rotation, data collection, error collection and alerting.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing synthetic transactions for the monitoring of applications and/or infrastructure.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of implementing infrastructure upgrades, security patches, or version upgrades.
  • Knowledge and understanding of logging and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with and the ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced technology and/or information security organization, within a large enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience with change and incident management practices in medium to large enterprise

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$100,000.00 - $196,000.00
