Job description

Blize Healthcare is looking for a Medical Biller to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Bill Home Health and Hospice patients and Correct Billing errors using DDE.
  • Cancellations and EOE's.
  • Accurately processes and bills Medicare, Medicaid, private payer, and patient claims in accordance with payer requirements and organization policy.
  • Follow up with NGS and various Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans.
  • Preparing ADRs as needed; TAR entry.
  • Posting payments, as well as other duties as assigned (working closely with the intake department on pre-authorizations, and assisting with the setup and review of patient profiles).
  • Performing completion of claims to payers and posting charges.
  • Work on getting Contracts from HMOs and renewing contracts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have Direct Data Entry (DDE) experience and correct Billing Errors through DDE.
  • Strong Analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • 1 year of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of Axxess is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Experience in home health or hospice.
  • Check and run insurance.
  • Physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
