VISTAs will create and maintain assessments, databases, and communication tools. VISTAs will build education-related knowledge and experience, as well as partnership development, project management, and communication skills. The year-long project term is somewhat variable, based on the start date. We are seeking candidates who excel in relationship-building, are results-oriented and comfortable taking initiative, and have strong communications and project management skills. This is a full-time (40hrs a week) 12 month service term with the GWServes AmeriCorps VISTA Program.
Member Duties : The successful Community Partnerships VISTA Fellow candidate will: • Support in school and afterschool academic and student and family enrichment programs • Plan and execute a series of partner engagement opportunities • Coordinate with school and GW personnel to develop program standards and training • Codify the partner intake and vetting process • Build innovative programs • Create and disseminate communications in a variety of media • plan and carry out school events • Additional capacity-building activities as assigned
