Domain wholly owns Domain Cityscape Architects, a commercial architecture firm established in 1999. DCA has completed projects across the U.S. and Canada for commercial clients and automotive brands for over 25 years.

Position Overview: Architectural Designer

Domain Cityscape Architects is seeking an Architectural Designer to support the technical input for surveys and construction documents. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficient in REVIT & AutoCAD, and experienced in producing commercial project documentation. The candidate should be able to take directions well and have strong communications.

Work Environment: In office position (Dearborn, MI or Novi, MI)

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce construction drawings in REVIT or AutoCAD based on design sketches, redlines, and guidance from senior team members.
  • Apply standard details
  • Adapt prototype criteria to meet project-specific requirements with direction from project manager
  • Supporting project managers by conducting research, preparing documentation, and coordinating project details
  • Be available to travel to surveys as needed with project management
  • Ability to call building departments to research information for permit submission
  • Willingness to learn and adapt under guidance, as many companies consider this role as additional training for future architects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years working in technical input for construction documents in commercial projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Architecture, or equivalent work experience
  • Masters Degree in Architecture is nice to have
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience in drawing coordination
  • Proficiency in REVIT & AutoCAD required
  • Ability to produce renderings in REVIT preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication, organizational and time management skills.
