DC Electrician – Lead Critical Power and Control Installations at New Phase Electrical


Job Overview

  • Company: New Phase Electrical
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $28 to $38 per hour (Based on experience)
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ (Travel within AZ Required)
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Nights and weekends as needed)
  • Project Scope: Commercial and Industrial Critical Power Systems
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's License


The Opportunity

You will serve as a critical technical expert, driving the successful installation and maintenance of specialized DC power plants across mission-critical facilities. This role allows you to work on complex infrastructure like data centers and telecommunications hubs while scaling your career into leadership. You will have the autonomy to manage sophisticated equipment with the backing of a team that recognizes your technical excellence.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex DC power plants and battery strings to ensure maximum uptime for mission-critical facilities.
  • Execute precise Telcordia cable routing, stitching, and BDFB builds according to engineered project drawings and technical specifications.
  • Implement comprehensive DC grounding practices to safeguard sensitive infrastructure and maintain site safety.
  • Manage live-environment technical execution seamlessly to prevent any operational downtime or logistical disruptions.
  • Coordinate with field operations teams to complete projects safely, efficiently, and within established client timelines.
  • Document daily field progress and testing results to ensure absolute project transparency and accuracy.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience installing and servicing DC power systems in live critical environments.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical prints, schematics, and detailed technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of battery string installations, fuse panels, and DC grounding practices.
  • Absolute willingness to travel up to 30% for project assignments throughout Arizona and out of state.
  • Strong physical capability to perform field work and a dedicated commitment to proactive electrical safety protocols.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 4 or more years of dedicated experience with DC power or telecommunications infrastructure.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in data centers, central offices, or utility infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer-specific training or certifications like OSHA, Fall Protection, and aerial lifts.
