Job description

Title: Business Analyst Jr./Project Management Analyst (PMA)-W2
Location: Newark DE 19702- Hybrid
Duration:12 months/contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst Jr. / Project Management Analyst (PMA) to support the Distribution Program. This position will provide day-to-day analytical, administrative, and project support to a Senior Project Manager overseeing electric utility distribution programs and projects, primarily within the Washington, DC and Newark, DE areas.
Key Responsibilities
Support project and program-level analytical activities for electric utility distribution programs.
Assist with contract administration and support the development of RFPs for distribution programs.
Create and process contract requisitions.
Support contract payment authorizations and review/approve invoices.
Track project and contract-related accruals and maintain accurate contract records.
Manage and analyze large volumes of program-level data.
Maintain and organize data using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI.
Prepare reports, track project activities, and provide analytical support to project management.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and various project teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
Support high-volume order and project tracking while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Participate in team meetings and occasional site visits within the service territory.
Required Qualifications
Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent educational background.
1โ€“5 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as:
VLOOKUPs
Pivot Tables
Equations/formulas
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage high volumes of information, orders, and project data while maintaining accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting project managers or project management offices.
Experience with contract administration, invoice processing, requisitions, or financial tracking.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI.
Previous experience in the electric utility, utility construction, or energy industry is highly preferred.
A combination of analytical, office administration, and project management experience is ideal.
