Job Title: DBE Account Executive
 

Proximity to a major airport is mandatory due to travel needs. 


Essential Function
Responsible for servicing and supporting chain accounts, spas; develops long-term relationships while working with owners, managers and stylists. Regular overnight travel is required.

Primary Duties

  • 20%: Identifies prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences, which may require overnight travel. Recommends products to customers, based on customers'; needs and interests.
  • 20%: Answers customers'; questions concerning products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Provides customers with product samples and catalogs.
  • 15%: Keep deadlines for paperwork concerning quotas. Track incentives, contests, and line progress and growth. Track customer incentive programs.
  • 15%: Contacts regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • 10%: Prepares estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs including prices quotes, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • 10%: Support sales through education, promotional events and merchandising.
  • 10%: Monitors market conditions, product innovations, and competitors'; products, prices, and sales.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-3 years previous outside sales experience. Cosmetology license or Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and methods for promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Valid drivers license with reliable transportation as position requires considerable amount of driving (includes some weekends, evenings and overnight travel.)
  • Computer literate, preferably Windows based programs.
  • Strong math skills for forecasting and goal achievement.

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping stretching, reaching or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above average agility and dexterity. Travel is required to attend occasional out-of-state meetings and events.
