What does a DBA Project Manager do?

A DBA Project Manager acts as a bridge between the technical database team and non-technical stakeholders such as business analysts, developers, and upper management. Regular meetings, progress updates, and documentation are key tools used to manage expectations and keep projects on track. This coordination is crucial for addressing potential issues early and ensuring successful project delivery.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a DBA Project Manager?

To thrive as a DBA Project Manager, you need a solid background in database administration, project management methodologies, and often a relevant degree or certifications such as PMP or ITIL.
