Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Manager with strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience managing Oracle DBA teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing database administration activities, leading a team of DBAs, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of Oracle database environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Oracle Database Administrators, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee day-to-day DBA activities, ensuring timely delivery of projects and operational support.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to develop and implement database strategies and best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Oracle database environments using Oracle Database technologies and SQL.
  • Administer Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Review database and application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions.
  • Perform database health checks, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and implementation of regular security updates.
  • Support production environments and provide technical leadership during critical incidents.
  • Develop and enforce database standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Assist end users and application teams with database-related issues and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience with at least 3 5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
  • Core oracle DBA , Golden gate, performance tuning, Data base installation, RAC Clusters
  • Proven experience leading and managing Oracle DBA teams in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Backup & Recovery (RMAN), Cloning, Patching, and Upgrades.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience performing routine DBA tasks, database installations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and health checks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
